How We Can Help

For decades, Attorney Gregory Sullivan has been representing debtors in bankruptcy court to help them discharge credit card debts, judgments and end collections actions. Depending on the amount and type of debt, Attorney Sullivan advises clients on Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy options to help them decide whether bankruptcy is an appropriate remedy to discharge or reorganize their debts.

Recent Bankruptcy Cases

In addition to discharging debts, Attorney Gregory Sullivan has also used bankruptcy to help homeowners stop foreclosures and come current on their mortgages. In a recent bankruptcy case for a homeowner in Holliston, Massachusetts, Attorney Sullivan was able to get a Chapter 13 bankruptcy plan confirmed by the bankruptcy trustee on May 24, 2024 after having stopped the foreclosure sale several months earlier. In that case, the homeowner, a decorated police officer and army veteran had not paid his mortgage for over three years due to a work injury and had over $100,000 in past due payments. See In Re Lenin Ortiz, (Bankruptcy Petition#: 23-11637). The lawyers of Reda Sullivan have also used bankruptcy as a way to stop a foreclosure after a civil superior court denied a motion for a temporary restraining order. In a recent case, a homeowner in Tewksbury, Massachusetts who had a foreclosure auction scheduled on his home on March 26, 2024, was able to have his foreclosure stopped in bankruptcy court. Once the foreclosure was stopped, he was able to dismiss his bankruptcy and resume his lawsuit against the mortgage company in Middlesex Superior Court and get a loan modification which saved his house from foreclosure by bringing his loan current.  See In Re John Iannelli, (Bankruptcy Petition#: 24-40482).
